Supporters of the Bereaved Families Forum – and its quest for reconciliation between Palestinians and Israelis – had a rare opportunity to share in a transatlantic dialogue between two bereaved fathers and Colum McCann (above), who has turned their haunting story into a new novel, Apeirogon.

For an hour on 6th April, and again on 17th April, Rami Elhanan, from his Jerusalem home, and Bassam Aramin, from his Jericho garden, spoke to Colum (in the USA) about their lives, their commitment to the cause of non-violence, and their experience of becoming characters in a novel.

Hundreds of supporters around the world were able to enjoy the discussion online, despite being unable to leave their homes because of the Covid-19 lockdown.

Recordings of both discussions are available online here and here
