National Book Award-winning, Booker Prize-longlisted and New York Times-bestselling author Colum McCann will be joining Razia Iqbal to discuss his powerful and compassionate novel, Apeirogon.

Apeirogon explores the tender and complex relationship between two bereaved men – one Israeli and one Palestinian – amidst the physical and emotional carnage of the West Bank. McCann crosses centuries and continents, stitching time, art, history, nature and politics into a tapestry of friendship, love, loss and belonging.

Colum McCann is the author of six novels and three collections of stories. TransAtlantic, his most recent novel, was longlisted for the Man Booker Prize in 2013; while Let the Great World Spin won the National Book Award as well as the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award and was a New York Times bestseller.

Colum will be in conversation with BBC special correspondent Razia Iqbal. Iqbal is a former arts correspondent for BBC News, as well as presenting Talking Books on the BBC News Channel. Since 2011, Iqbal has been a regular presenter of Newshour.

Please join Colum and Razia for what promises to be an emotive and thought-provoking evening of literary discussion.
